About me:
I have extensive experience in helping people deal with grief and loss, and trauma recovery. I also help people understand and deal better with the important relationships in their lives. I respect my clients and trust that therapy helps clients begin the healing process.

MFT License:
1993. Maintained Private Practice since 1991.

Graduate Degree:
University of San Francisco, 1989, Master’s in Counseling. Undergraduate: Sonoma State University, Bachelor’s Degree in Afro-American Studies.

Experience:
I am experienced in leading groups related to grief and loss. I have lead a variety of Sutter VNA & Hospice including Survivors of Suicide,(a group for individuals who have had a family member or friend who has committed suicide) , Bereaved Parents, Just for Kids (a group for 5-12 year olds dealing with loss of a family member), Infant and Pregnancy Loss, and Daughters Grieving their Mothers.

I have been part of a consultation group with Dr. Charles Harris since 1999. This group focuses on Personality Disorders and treatment.

I have supervised MFT Interns and work to help others become the best therapist they can be. I value giving back professionally and have found the supervisor-intern relationship rich, diverse, and personally meaningful.

I am certified in Eriksonian hypnosis. I have had trained extensively with Dr. Tony Madrid of West County in hypnosis.

My past employment experience includes working with children, working with brain injured students at SRJC, and school-based tutoring.
